Following on from the card I made yesterday using the 'kissing technique', I was wondering what other stamps I had which I could utilise for this method of stamping. With a little lateral thought I remembered a piece of scrap rubber and attached EZ mount that I had saved from my latest set of stamps from Stampin' Up. My daughter had bought me the Broadsheet alphabet set for Christmas and there was quite a lot of wastage after I had popped the stamps out of the sheet. Being a squirrel I decided to save it. Then I thought of my Sizzix Bigz tag die and so I cut out the smallest tag from the wastage.
So I inked up the tag in lilac, inked a SU floral spray stamp in black, stamped the tag firstly onto the floral stamp and then onto the card.
I think this one will be quite useful!
Has it given you food for thought?
I hope so!
Wow, you are so very clever in making yourself a new tag stamp! And the finished project is so cute and you could use it for many things!

Just read the post below - very clever. I never thought that, nearing 60, I would need to brush up on my kissing technique!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea!! I must try that kissing technique too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever idea making your own tag stamp.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely!! Hmm...it does indeed have me thinking! Hope you had a great weekend! x

What a FANTASTIC idea. I never thought about creating a stamp with the wastage - I usually just use it for adding dimension - thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the waste - SU seem to have a lot of waste when you push out your own stamps. I've only got the one set and gave the waste to my mum to make something with - but its great that yours was big enough to die cut. Lovely purple/lilac colour too.
