Since discovering One Layer cards, I have really enjoyed trying the different techniques which can be employed to make them, and using masking and sponging to create a background has become a firm favourite of mine.
For this, I cut a square from a piece of scrap paper with a Nestie and positioned it over the card front securing it with some low tack tape.
I tore one edge of a Post-it and added that at the bottom to create the ground and added a circle to mask the area for the moon.
After sponging with SU Bashful Blue and adding a little yellow around the moon, I removed the masks and stamped the Darkroom Door trees in black Stazon. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
