Butterfly birthday

I have rather greenish tips to the end of my fingers, after having a lovely play making this card. I die cut the memory box butterfly and inked it with some Twisted Citron Distress Ink, then after spritzing both the cardstock and the butterfly, I used one to make prints on the other. After I had finished, the butterfly was quite a deep shade, so I decided that the colour was a little too far removed from the backdrop to be used as an embellishment, so I cut another butterfly and und gently coloured that with more ink and water.
I used the sketch from Fab Friday
and the technique from CAS Mix Up

Where they are celebrating their 5th Birthday.
Our new kitchen is progressing apace, however there have been a couple of snags but the boss man says all will be sorted... and I have every faith in him, he installed our last kitchen over twenty years ago and that has been great.

Outside the Box - Beautiful backgrounds
I think that the background made with this gorgeous Memory Box Butterfly is rather beautiful!
Stay safe everyone!

  1. Such a pretty way to decorate the square panel of the sketch! I love the homemade print and in such a fun color. It looks like the butterfly is in motion! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

  2. So pretty - I love the "movement" you've achieved! Such a fresh and fun color - perfect for today, too, of course! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

  3. You did a fantastic job with the print-making technique, Chrissie! I love the butterfly and the colors you used ~ perfect for springtime! I'm glad the kitchen is coming along. I think it's cool that you are using the same guy 20 years later! I'm enjoying the photos on FB. Hugs, Darnell

  4. Your printed butterflies are beautiful, Chrissie! I LOVE twisted cirton ink, it's so fresh when paired with white. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

  5. Awesome prints. Love the choice of color, too...actually one of my favorites. Makes your card so fresh and clean. A wonderful entry into the CAS Mix Up gallery. Thanks for joining us for our 5th anniversary. Look forward to seeing you again.

  6. This is a beautiful design, Chrissie! I love the printed butterflies flitting in the background with the dimension of the die cut atop! Thanks so much for sharing with us again at CAS Mix Up!
