Pretty in Pink

I love the images of Kiki from Pollycraft (where I was a Pollycraft favourite last week) and this one is no exception. Here she is holding a bunch of very tempting looking cupcakes. It's for a few challenges.
Sweet Stampin - Pretty in Pink
Crazy 4 Challenges - Include a cupcake
Charisma Cardz - Teddy Bear
CAS-Tastic Challenge - Case the DT
All the pink on this card was coloured with Copics... the ribbons and the card trims, which were then twinkled with Glamour Dust.

Love this Bear

I think that these Pollycraft bear images are such cuties, I find myself using them time and again. Here it is for the challenges from Just Cute Bears, where I used the sketch, together with the chosen colours from Stempeltraume, where the selection was green + 2 other colours, in this case pink and brown.
I used a few new things in this one... my new border embossing folder from the Christmas selection from Papermania and a new large script one from Cuttlebug.
I also used the method of making a straight punched border into a curved one, as in my tutorial here. This time I used a Stampin' Up border punch, but the method was exactly the same.
It was particularly useful for this card, as the sketch demanded a large circle and I had no edging large enough for it. With this method, no shape would be too large, you could just keep adding more lengths of border. Useful huh?
The DP is a freebie download from Fred She Said. There are various shades of several colours... really useful.

Bears everywhere

I came across this Dustin Pike image today, which is just perfect for Teddy Stampers Challenge of Bedtime Bears.
I used the colour theme of Teal and Brown from Crafty Angels, and as I think that the subject matter is suitable for a chap, I have also included 'The boyz are back' from Crafty Cats.
I did think that I would enter it for Pollycraft's challenge too, but when I came to link it, I realised that I was too late and a new challenge has been posted! Hey Ho! Time is running away with me!
I've still got some commission baby cards to do.... I'd better press on!

Another bear

This card is for several challenges.
Just Cute Bears - Thank You
Charisma Cardz - Going round in Circles
Moving Along with the Times - Folds (Joy Fold)
Penny Black - In the Garden
Pixie Dust - Round and Round
This is the first time that I have made a Joy Fold card using a circle as the smaller element of the fold. I hope I've left enough for the hinge! It's always difficult to know how much to leave, so that it actually holds together but still keeps the circular shape.
The image is from Penny Black and the paper from Cuddly Buddly. The circular diecut strip is Cuttlebug and the image is mounted on Nesties.
I've just been watching the test match, so I think I'd better get back to card-making!

Little Boy Blue

I don't seem to have managed many challenge cards recently, so here's one which covers a few.
Just Cute Bears - Recipe 3 brads, 2 Papers, 1 ribbon
Everybody Art - Sketch
Daring Cardmakers - Boyzone (Sponsored by Charmed Cards & crafts)
The stipulation from Daring Cardmakers was that the card should be for a little boy or a teenage boy, but not a grown-up.
This image of Roger Bear is perfect for a little chap and the sentiment from MSE fits the bill too.
The three brads were heat embossed with the baby blue embossing powder, giving them an enameled appearance, which I prefer to the basic brass. Take care if you do this, to make sure that you hold the brads with tweezers as the heat gun can make them pretty hot!!
The papers are Little Kwackers from Cuddly Buddly.
I really should try to do a bit more instead of phaffing about!

Another Bear

This Pollycraft bear is for the Pollycraft Challenge this week, which is in fact, a sketch.
I had to reverse the position of the flowers to avoid having one stuck on Ted's balloon! I hope that's OK.
Crafty Ann's Challenge this week is Anything Goes, so he is for that too!
He's coloured with Copics and is mounted on Nesties. The flowers are made with a Snellen punch and emboss set, with a punched splat and pearl to complete them. The paper is from Cuddly Buddly and the embossing is Cuttlebug.
We went to watch Hampshire play cricket today at the Rose Bowl in the Executive Suite (courtesy of Southampton Audi). We normally just go in the general members area, but today we were with the creme de la creme so to speak! We had a very good lunch and as they have a viewing lounge, I didn't freeze and managed to stay there until the close of play!
It's like a building site at the moment, whilst new stands are being constructed. It should be fabulous when it's finished!

Thank you bear!

I'm a sucker for bears and this little chap from Meljen Designs is no exception. It's for the Multifold Challenge at Just Cute Bears. I haven't done one of these gatefold cards since my daughter's wedding invitations I don't think!
It's also for the Thank You Challenge at I Love Digi Challenge Blog and as the theme at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp is Anything Goes, it's for that too.
Cuddly Buddly Paper, Cuttlebug corners, Copic Colouring and Nestie Mounts!

When you wish upon a star!

It took me quite a while to come up with an idea for the challenge of 'Stars and Swirls' at My Time to Craft this week. I decided to look through my collection of digi stamps to see if inspiration struck and this one of Bronson and Beaker from Pollycraft seemed to ring my bell!
The sentiment, which is from Unity stamps, seemed perfect for it. It also made me think of the Disney song 'When you wish upon a star' and so for this reason I thought it would be just right for challenge #88, 'Song Title', from Everybody Art.
A spoonful of Sugar would like to see 'Furry Friends', Bronson is quite furry isn't he!
The paper is Cuddly Buddly and the embossing is Divine Swirls from Cuttlebug.
Having a Bank Holiday this week has put me out of step slightly, it felt like Sunday yesterday.

Monday Morning

I managed to combine quite a few challenges with this card featuring Roger the bear!
Moving along with the Times - Sketch + Animals
Be Crafty - Digi Image + Holes (the circle is a hole is the front of the card)
Creative Card Crew - Happy Birthday
Penny Black - 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons, 1 Bow (the sentiment is Penny Black)
Teddy Stampers - Red & White
Crafty Ann - 1 Digi Image, Max 3 colours, 1 ribbon, 3 flowers
My Time to Craft - Ruby, ruby, ruby
Much of my weekend was spent trying something new... not quite sure how things will turn out, but all will be revealed in due course! I have a little shopping to do before I go much further!
Since taking the picture I decided to move the button from the top left corner into the bottom left corner... and I prefer it that way!

Meljen's Designs

Yesterday I came across an illustrator new to me... Meljen's Designs. I bought a couple of Melissa's digi-images, for which I am awaiting arrival via my email. However on her Papercraft Planet page she has offered some freebies to group members, of which this cute bear is one. I think that the images are perfectly delightful.
It is for several challenges.
Teddy Stampers - Spring (I'm not sure if these flowers are spring or summer, but the Cuddly Buddly digi-paper is very spring like in shade.)
Just Cute Bears - Flowers (my second card for them)
My Time to Craft - DT Card -Pretty Pearls
Raise the Bar - Let's Spring for it (another Spring card)
I hope you all have a really good week, today is a beautiful sunny day in Southampton!

Such a cute bear!

This is just a quick posting as I have to drive to the garage to pick up my husband, whose car needs a small problem fixing. It went in last week, but they didn't quite sort it so it's going back again today.
This card, using Helen's bear, Roger, a digi image from Ellephantastic Cards and Crafts, is for the challenges from Just Cute Bears, which this week is mint and brown. The sketch is from 2 Sketches 4 You.
The papers are from Clare Curd's Signature range. It's such a huge block of paper, I'm not sure when I'll get through it all, but I'll keep at it!
I used one of my favourite set of sentiments from Hero Arts.
It's very simple... but I like simple and I hope whomever receives this card will like simple too!.

Just a cute bear!

I love this digi image of Roger the bear by Helen of Ellephantastic Cards & Crafts and I love this sketch, which Jane from the DT at Just Cute Bears has drawn for their challenge this week.
I'm also extremely partial to this digi download... Patchwork of papers (green) from Cuddly Buddly.
Be crafty requires a digi image and some sewing... my sewing machine sews even when I've taken my foot off the pedal, so it's a little faux stitching for me!
Sophisticats' challenge this week is also for sewing, so this is for that challenge too!
The Corrosive Challenge - Sew it Up
The image is coloured with Copics and mounted on Nesties and a Nellie's frame. A tiny SU sentiment has been mounted on a reduced size SU word window punchie.

Another gorgeous bear!

This sweetie of a bear is another from Pollycraft, which I downloaded yesterday. I just love them. This one is in gentle shades utilising the colours from the Copic Colour Challenge #49 of E00 Skin White, E33 Sand and R02 Flesh. It is also for Creative Inspiration's Challenge of 'Feminine' and Cute Card Thursday's 'Blooming Gorgeous'
Over at the Alphabet Challenge Blog they have got up to the letter N for New... thesebears are my new downloads!
The inspiration for this one started with the piece of lace and kind of took off! The flowers are Prima with Leonie Em punched leaves. I just punched little splats for the centres of the flowers and added a few sticky pearls.
I just delivered my latest Wedding invitations to a satisfied customer, so that makes me happy too!

Roger Bear

This is the little bear I downloaded this morning, drawn by Helen from Ellephantastic Cards and Crafts. Since working on her freebie Roger image, I decided that I had to have more! Isn't he a cutie!! I coloured him with my Copics.
The challenges I'm submitting him to are the Papertake Weekly Challenge, whose sketch this is, and Digital Tuesday, for the embossing! I had a feeling that there was a third, but I can't find my notes... Hey Ho!
The papers are digi downloads from Cuddly Buddly called Teddy Bear's Wedding. I think they're so pretty. . I did some free hand doodling around the edges. The flowers were part of my prize from the Penny Black challenge courtesy of the Craft Garden. The tiny buttons, used for the flower centres were also a purchase from Cuddly Buddly. I did the sentiment on the computer.
