Christmas Greetings

I combined a few challenges with this card.
Addicted to CAS - Circle

ABC Christmas W = Whimsical or X = Xerox

whimsical
/ˈwɪmzɪk(ə)l/

adjective

  • 1.playfully quaint or fanciful, especially in an appealing and amusing way:"a whimsical sense of humour"

After looking up the definition of whimsical as opposed to what I thought it was, (which in fact happened to be the same) I decided that a gnome with a pair of skis was quite a whimsical thought! So here is a little chap from SSS dressed in mulberry paper.
The sentiment EF was free with a mag I believe

Merry Christmas Gnome.

I love these cute gnomes by Simon Says Stamp. I have a couple of different sized dies plus a cutting file for my Silhouette which is rather similar.  This time I cut him from polka dot paper. It's a way of using my papers which I rarely use for backing any more! The beard was put through an embossing folder after cutting, to give it a more shaggy appearance. I echoed the dots with an embossing folder for the backdrop and added a little bit of ribbon coloured with a marker to tone in with it. It was a ribbon from inside a sweater (which really irritate me as they are forever popping out on show).
The sentiment is from Hero Arts, stamped using Distress Oxide ink, again to match. I love the way the oxides can be used for stamping as compared to regular Distress Inks.
This is my DT card for Christmas Craft Creations challenge
It's also for the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More - Christmas

I hope that everyone is keeping safe, hopefully we'll be getting our jabs soon and that thereafter, things will start to ease. If everyone had stuck to the guidelines, we probably wouldn't be in quite the position we are now, but we must just try our best!

Merry Everything

I suddenly remembered that I had these Hero Arts gnomes, but then couldn't quite remember where they were. Luckily I found them quite quickly.
I got the idea of this card from a few challenges which I have tried to combine.
I've just realised that I have put the sentiment in to wrong place, Oh Dear! I think it must have slid down the snowbank!
Christmas

It seems that we're in for another lockdown. Tomorrow I'll have to try to find out if that means that my new kitchen will be on hold.. it was due to be started next week!
Stay safe everyone!
