Little Rabbit

Recently I discovered a website in Germany, which makes the most adorable dies amongst other crafty things. Since my discovery, I have visited the site quite a few times and things just seemed to find their way into my basket. This dear little chap was a little thank you with one of my orders and I think he is the cutest thing. The site is called Charlie and Paulchen   and they do stock other brands besides their own. For this simple card I used a pot die from The Greetery and coloured it with Copic markers and gently added a little watercolour to the bunny.
It's for a couple of challenges.

JOY

I really love making Christmas cards as I know that they are one of the few designs that I make which I know will find a recipient! |For this one I began by using some snowflake embossing dies from Creative-depot and then adding the layered snowflake by Birch Press in gold, silver and twinkled white card. I simply cut out the word JOY from an alphabet set and added some tiny gems.

Just Because

Here is another card using the Faux Cloisonne technique. It's the challenge this month at CAS Mix Up. For this one I used an old calendar from Guide Dogs for the Blind. When I first started contributing to this charity, the dog I was sponsoring was a German Shepherd with a floppy ear, called Monty, but after about a year or so, he didn't make the cut as he was too nervous in traffic and so now lives with a family. My new puppy is a black lab called Niko. Anyway enough of this, this stamp is from Rubbernecker, which was stamped onto a calendar page and embossed in gold.  They are cut out and mounted over a strip of hessian and given a sentiment by Memory Box.
Why not join in the fun with this terrific challenge!
Here is a video I made showing the process

Happy Birthday

The challenge at Just US Girls this time is to make your own stencil. I didn't actually use dies, as I often do, but used my cutting machine instead. I didn't do a brilliant job and and I've since ordered a new blade, but there was enough which cut properly for my purposes. I used my home made embossing paste and twinkled it with Glamour Dust. This is a link to a video which shows how I made the paste.

The flowers are by Alexandra Renke and I shaped the bells with an embossing tool and added a little foam tape behind them to keep the shape.
