Here is a pair of cards for Darnell's Twofer Challenge which this time has to be birds!
Those who know me, know about my penchant for chickens... particularly the ones from Penny Black. Isn't this a fabulous image!
I stamped a couple of them and and coloured them, then promptly misplaced the white one, so having done a little tidy up looking for it, I gave in and stamped and coloured another! It may well turn up sometime when I least expect it! The Congrats is from Hero Arts and the 'Surprise' I believe is from Penny Black!
The black backdrop was embossed with a Sheena Douglass folder and the white card was partially embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
I recently discovered the fabulous voice of Josh Groban, so he is my crafting companion of choice at the moment... he's singing away on my phone... via my Bose speaker!
That chicken is FABULOUS! Makes me smile, Chrissie! Great designs for both your cards. The dry embossing adds lots of texture and dimension. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteElegant and wonderful as always. You have created two wonderful cards. Those little chicken are so funny that I have to smile looking at them. Embossed details are the perfect choice to add dimension.
ReplyDeleteOh, isn't he wonderful?! Now I'll have to put him on, too! I was hoping you'd fly in with chicken cards, Chrissie, and you did not disappoint with this squawker!! They are both marvelous with their coloring and different e/f textured backgrounds and designs! Thank you for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! (You'll have to lettuce know where that first white chicken ended up! I usually find my missing bits on my socks!) Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThat chicken is hilarious!!! And you have chosen the perfect embossing folders for those cards!
ReplyDeleteI love that chicken image. And, you used it so wonderfully on both of your cards. The embossing folders go great with them too.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken is hilarious! I love both your cards with their simple yet awesome designs. Things go missing in my room all the time and turn up in the most unlikely places. I hope you find her and then you can make another card. Thanks for joining us in the Twofer Birds challenge!
