Dry Embossing

Here is my second card for Less is More's birthday month. This time the challenge is to include dry embossing.
The die is from Memory Box and the EF from Die'Sire Embossalicious. The poppies were coloured with alcohol pens.
Making this card made me realise that I don't use dry embossing enough in my card making... note to self....I must try harder!
My cataract eye surgery is just 10 days away... I must admit to feeling some trepidation, but will be so pleased to be able to see clearly again!!

  1. A striking and elegant birthday card Chrissie with the perfect amount of embossed texture. Those poppies certainly 'pop' and add a classy dimension to your card. Thanks for agreeing to guest design for our birthday challenges at Less is More and I've got everything crossed for you with the surgery and hope you'll be back in blogland PDQ afterwards. Hugs x

  2. A gorgeous embossed design, Chrissie. Love the pops of red against all that white. I must use my EFs more too, they are hidden in a box and get forgotten! It's been lovely having you back with us this month, please do come back more, miss you!! All the very best for your surgery, hugs xx

  7. Please don't stress about your cataracts. Once done you will be amazed at how much clearer the world is. Colours will be brighter and more beautifull.Trees will be greener. I was petrified before my first one,and when I realised how easy it was,and how successful,I couldn't wait to have the second one done. To me it was a miracle. Love your cards. I live in Perth Western Australia . Sending you best wishes, Maxine

  8. I was wondering how to just partially emboss a card and you showed me the perfect solution, Chrissie. This is lovely. You'll do fine with your cataract surgery. I had both of mine done quite a while ago.

  10. A classy card with a beautiful limited colour palette, Chrissie. I’m with you about not using dry embossing very often in my cards. Thank you again for guest designing this month at Less is More. Good luck with your surgery and best wishes for a speedy recovery. xx

  11. Yet another elegant stunner of a card Chrissie. I really don't know how you manage to have every card you make look so classy and stylish - what a fantastic style you have. Sorry for the late visit (we're getting the house ready to sell so it's a bit chaotic here). Wishing you all the best for your surgery, as you say it will be so good to see clearly again and I bet you will think everything looks clean and bright afterwards. Take card xx
