WOYWW

Does anyone else do this?
Make embellishments or elements to go on cards and then either lose the impetus to carry the project through or become dissatisfied en route.
This little heap is the evidence of my unfinished business. It's a case of 'I thought I would use it for something' kind of thing.
Actually I quite like the little robin... I drew him last night and I think he may find his way onto a Christmas card... as to the rest, well it's anyone's guess as to how long it will stay in this pile.
Join the worldwide snoop that is WOYWW. The link to Julia is on my sidebar!

I shall be going to the NEC tomorrow, Thursday... if anyone else is going do say Hi!

  4. I know how you feel, we should do a swap, all those pieces we discard should be sent to someone else to see what they can do with it.

  5. I have Boxes FULL of die cut this, stamped that, embossed the other... I sorted it out the other day and was amazed at how many punched snowflakes alone I have :-)

Bridget's idea of a swap is great, perhaps LIM could post a swap for the followers ? perhaps like a 'sectet santa' to choose our Limette partner!

  7. I sort of do Chrissie, but usually they make a spectacular heap in the bottom of the bin on tidy up days...because by then I've shifted them around for a couple of months. Mind, my discards don't often look as good as these..!
    Have super day tomorrow.

  8. You are not alone in making embellies and then not using them. I have a tin full of them!!!! Makes a change from the "Sod it" box (aka the bin!). Don't waste the Robin though he is cute!

  11. Do you store the embellishments somewhere of do they bite the dust? I end up with lots of scraps of fabric that I intend to use, but they inevitably end up in the stuffing bag, where I use them for draught excluders etc!
    Hugs, LLJ xx

  12. Hi Chrissie, I definitely do and have a few tubs of stamped/coloured images/punched bits and bobs, etc., all waiting for the right project to come along :) Like the little robin too - he's way to cute to be left out in the cold. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #59

  13. YES! They go and live in a little box and get used eventually when they turn out to be exactly what I'm looking for! Love your little Robin (robins are to me what daisies and chickens are to you!) Vx

  14. Yes, I have an old plastic box (used to have fried rice in it) that sits on my desk and scraps and bits end up there. But I do dip in from time to time and stuff does get used!

  15. Have to agree ..that robin is so cute ...deserves to have a home on a card. I expect you will find the right cards for you embelishments.

  18. I have a little pile of odds and ends like that, on the side of my desk. They often find their way into other projects or get snaffled by my daughter, if they take her fancy!

  19. oh yes I think we all have a little box or tray full of the unfinished project pieces. I eventually use them on something else after I forget what I made them for and that I didn't like them in the first place! Hope you have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #68
