Fusion #4

This is the challenge at Fusion this week.
I went with this paper which was free in a mag, which I thought in the same vein as that from Lesley's challenge and the sketch follows that from Jackie.
I used an embossing folder from Creative Expressions which I bought at Ally Pally. It is in fact A4 size and this is just a snippet from it. Having added the gems to the intersections there was no room for the SU sentiment, so this was added as an appendix on a Papermania die-cut and slipped under the horizontal band.
The flowers are from Sizzix Movers and Shapers Tattered Florals, with a punched centre.
Isn't it wonderful to see a little sun this week!
Would you believe it I've missed this deadline too... that's the second this week, I really should be more organised!

Penny Black Ducks

I love Penny Black's ducks and chicken stamps and this is a real cutie!
I love the expression on the little one's face offering the daffodil to his/her mummy!
It was simply stamped and coloured with Promarkers before being mounted onto another self coloured circle. I like to use different sides of hammered card for contrast on my cards. The smooth side is great for the images whereas the hammered side is perfect as a card base.
for family challenge
Penny Black has a challenge to make a card for someone in one's family. This stamp is perfect for it. I made the sentiment on the computer and printed it directly onto the card.
Having done all this I really don't know how to get it to join the appropriate part of Flickr to join in with the challenge..Hey Ho!

ADFD Newsprint

I made this card for the A Day for Daisies Newsprint challenge, but missed uploading it by a mere whisker!
Never mind I enjoyed making it!
I cut a piece of newsprint to A4 size and printed the image onto it before colouring with Promarkers. I then cut these out and mounted them onto white card and embossed it with the Stampin' Up hexagon folder.
The lettering is Memory Box classic alphabet.

Thinking of you

I wanted to see how some Sizzix Framelits dies which I bought recently managed when cutting out felt. As you can see, they did really well.
For this card I used the sketch from Retro Sketches and stamps from Stampin' Up's Vintage Vogue set together with the Very Vintage wheel stamp.
The embossing is from a Cuttlebug folder and the sentiment panel (stamp unknown) is cut with a Papermania die.
The CASology cue card this week is  CARE, so this is for that challenge too!
This card seems to have a little more on it than usual, but it still seems reasonably CAS to me.
It seems like Spring has finally arrived in the south of England... Hurrah!
