WOYWW

This is the sight which greeted me when I entered my craft room this morning, so I thought that I had better have a little tidy up before embarking on my next project, which is a wedding card for my friend to give to her daughter and her prospective husband for their upcoming nuptials. SO stamps have been cleaned and put away and the scarps of paper filed in their appropriate colour section of my scrap box.

I have had another go at re-organisation for my Copics and have now got them horizontal on the self in front of me. This isn't absolutely ideal as they slip from their position if one underneath is removed. I have them in the plastic boxes in which they arrived. I'll have to see if I keep them there.
Here you can see that I have removed the little stack of drawers from the left side of my desk (Those of you who have visited before that is) to give me a little more elbow room, but the space gets cluttered with all and sundry nevertheless, but it feels better. My spraying box is to the right, I wanted some slightly twinkly paper to make flowers for the wedding card, in a burgundy shade to match the bridesmaids' dresses. That little table is also where my laptop usually sits. It gets flung onto the floor if I need to do spraying or to take a picture.

The last picture is of WIP on the wedding card. The request was for ivory with burgundy accents, in a similar style to a Silver Wedding Card I made recently. I have been looking for the scrap of paper where I wrote the dimensions to cut the card to make a box for the finished card, but it seems to be eluding me at the moment, I may have to resort to a little maths once more.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp

My daughter asked me to make a birthday card for her friend. She's particularly fond of this shoe by Chris Dark, but I found colouring it in Navy more problematic than black. I don't have as many shades of deep blue in my Copics, so it was quite tricky. I used both shades of blue to colour the ribbon, one was too bright, the other too deep, but together they worked quite well.

The papers are all Pink Petticoat... I had to go ferreting around my external hard drive to find the Flourish paper, but obviously found it eventually.

The overall effect of this card is a little fussy for my liking, but I hope my daughter will like it... it's what she asked for...the shoe, navy and a ribbon, plus her friend's name!

Creative Card Crew meets My Time to Craft

This particular shade of pink is really difficult to photograph as it is SO pale. It's called blossom from Pink Petticoat and is another of the papers I discovered when transferring files from my old laptop.

It's really pretty isn't it!

It's also my DT card from My Time to Craft, where the challenge is Eat Cake!. There were technical problems last week meaning that the challenge was not published, so this week you can have a choice of two topics. 'Eat Cake' or' Drink it Up'... my card for the latter can be found here.

Over at the Pink Elephant the challenge is Something Yummy,I think this heart looks pretty sweet! Lots of die-cutting and punching on this one, Cuttlebug, Mariannes and Nesties, with a Martha Stewart border punch.

I love pink!

This backing paper is one which I rediscovered when transferring files to my new laptop. It was almost like Christmas seeing all the things I'd forgotten I had.

This is from Pink Petticoat in a very delicate shade of pink called blossom. I love it, but it's very difficult to photograph.

The image was a freebie from Spyder a couple of weeks ago. It's beautiful isn't it!
