I heard on the radio that this weekend there was a convention being held locally for the Red Hat Society, which gave me the idea for the colour choices for this card.
I think I ought to join, it sounds like fun. I did have a red hat which I wore for my niece's wedding, but I sold it on eBay. I don't actually have any purple clothes, although when I had my colours done I was told that it's a universal colour and everyone can wear it!
I've spent a large part of this afternoon wrestling with some free trial watermark software. I decided to buy it in the end and hopefully this card will be the first on my blog to bear my own created watermark. I may try to experiment with the capabilities of the software later, but to have got a watermark at all in vaguely the area I wanted it is achievement enough!
This card is for the Daring Cardmakers Challenge of Autumn Purple, where the predominant colour should be purple. It 's not a colour I use often for cards, but this stamp from Stamps Happen seemed the ideal vehicle for it. I could fancy a coffee right now, and some mornings I know exactly what she means!
