Ombre Birthday

Today I thought that I would have another go at doing a card for the CAS Mix Up challenge, which this month is OMBRE
For this card I used a Papertrey Ink stamp, inked with Versamark and then stamped onto black paper. I used three metallic shades of embossing powder, sprinkled sideways over the image and heat set.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.
The dragonfly, from a Memory Box die, was cut three times and layered to add a little dimension and the wings cut from vellum, dry embossed to give a little texture and wiped with a metallic gold inkpad. This was my attempt at a little veining for the wings.

  8. This is so elegant and gorgeous, Chrissie! The metallic heat-embossed ombre looks amazing against black! And I love your dragonfly. Adding a touch of metallic gold to the dry embossed vellum wings is a brilliant idea and it's so effective. Thank you so much for sharing with us (again) at CAS Mix Up!
