I'm sad to say that I haven't joined in with the workdesk fun for a long, long time, but today I thought I'd try to remedy that as my desk is really tidy (for me)!
It contains the detritus from a few days' play.
I see I left the top off my take away box which contains my Lawn Fawn shammy, it has obviously dried out, so a trip along to the bathroom to refresh that is called for. Speaking of bathroom, I see a toilet roll too... that's not there for emergencies, but I was trying my hand at papercasting... there is a little square there which was my first attempt, but I have just received a package with some plasticine so I'll be trying a slightly different technique incorporating that... if I can get it right.
The upright magnetic sheet at the back is where I throw dies that have recently been in use or ones which I use quite frequently. Sad to say some unintentionally stay there for quite a while.
If anyone wonders what anything is or is for... just ask.
Have a great day and stay safe everyone!
Oops! I forgot to link back to the lovely Julia.... how remiss of me here it is!
Sorry Julia!
I like the idea of the magnetic sheet Chrissie. Have fun with the paper casting. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
ReplyDeleteHiya Chrissie, lovely to see you back on the desks! Didn't we meet up at a craft show a few years back, I seem to recall that Julia had dragged me along, lol!! Only kidding, I quite enjoy papercrafting shows despite not doing much myself. My absolute favourite bit of your desk is the magnetic sheet! Are you an overarm or underarm chucker? I seem to remember doing the same thing with spaghetti and the wall!!

Hi Jan ... we met for lunch in Winchester with Julia... many moons ago now, but it was fun... didn’t you also pop to see Darnell in her hotel on Salisbury when I popped over to take some stuff of hers which we’d left in the wrong car when I took her over!
DeleteHappy days!
So this is where the magic happens! I always enjoy seeing where other crafters work, Jo x
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie, first off I spot one of my beloved Adirondack pads! I love them so much, when I heard they were being discontinued I bought a reinker for every one! Great idea with the magnetic sheet, laughing at Jans comment. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X #6.
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie. Good to see you today. I like the idea of the magnetic sheet - brilliant. I confess that, like Jan, my first thought was how do you throw the dies? Do you stand back from the table and take aim, or simply sit there and fling?
ReplyDeleteI seem, according to all the comments left on my post today, to have caused a bit of a stir regarding brushos... everyone is now, seemingly, dashing to unearth their box in the cupboard!
Take care. God bless.

Have a great week and blessings to you! :) Felicia, #26
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW and welcome back. I only have a very small collection of dies, so do put them away after use (got a folder with magnetic sheets in). However, I love your 'chucking board'! Ali x #8
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie, lovely to meet you here I don't think our paths have crossed @ WoywW before. Loving the idea of the magnetic sheet, when i'm in die cutting mode I could do with a room wallpapered in magnetic sheeting hee hee! I'm trying to peep closer to see what you are making today, hope you will share very soon.

Your magnetic board looks amazing with all the dies on it. You could say, "the die is cast" lol! I've never tried paper casting but that looks really fun.
