Having a read through some of the headings, I was grabbed by the making of a gift bag, which was something I had never tried. I wanted to give a small gift to my daughter's friend for her new baby. I had made her a card, (which I posted a few items back) and so thought I would make a bag to match.
Here are the two items together.
The papers are Fairy Fun digi papers from Cuddly Buddly and the image is from a fab Penny Black stamp which I have just acquired... coloured with Copics!
The instructions called for a very large envelope, which I didn't have, so I made something similar from a sheet of A3 paper.
The patterned paper was added to the front and it was folded to make a gusset. I scalloped the top with a Tonic Studios edge punch, and made a topper to match the card. I reinforced the inside of the bag with a couple of strips of card before punching holes for the ribbons.

What a pretty bag you've made. What a lovely idea to make then match like that Chrissie. Bet you're thrilled with the result.

a perfect set! I made one of these gift bags, once, a long time ago and have forgotten how! I'll have to go take a look at the links to jog my memory. Love the pretty pink, and those papers - mmm, I have the green version, maybe I need the pink!
