The challenge is to create a scene on one layer of cardstock, with few or no embellishments.
I have to admit that this card is not my idea. I cased a card from Heather, who has made a fabulous card for the challenge, describing how she did it (otherwise I wouldn't have had a clue).
This is nowhere near as beautiful as Heather's but I think that it will be a technique that I will try again, maybe with some slightly more suitable stamps.
You certainly get very inky fingers... at least I did!

I've just added this second one, in which I used a different tree stamp.
I love the effect you have achieved on this card. I bet you had lots of fun making it.

Great effect you have achieved, thanks for giving the link to your inspiration too.

Wow that is just gorgeous. I would love to know how to do that....it is stunning and just perfect for a masculine card.
ReplyDeleteOh yes Chrissie this is simply stunning that middle strip is wonderful

Another gorgeous card, love the colours - we like inky fingers; well some of us do :-)

This is beautiful. I'm going to have to backtrack and find out how to do this!
ReplyDeleteHi there, just popped over to Heather's blog to see what you meant, Oh yes what a stunner, like yours very much too, great technique:D xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous.
ReplyDelete2 beautiful cards, you should be very proud of them
ReplyDeleteI like them both in their own way. This is a great CASE of Heather's card and a great card for the challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous! Definitely a technique I need to try! Awesome CAS card!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful! Heather's certainly has inspired me to give this a try, too!
ReplyDeleteI did a double take when I looked at the links on Susan's blog wondering why I saw my card twice! But after clicking on the link found that you were having some fun with this technique too. I like all of the cards you have made with it, the cowboys boots one works perfectly. I did another one too with autumn leaves. It is certainly a versatile layout/technique. Thanks for the link and your very kind words.
ReplyDeleteBoth are awesome! I'm gonna case Heather's card too!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely like the second one better. I was blurfing the other day when I came across your blog and found the link to OLW. I'd been looking for this blog for several weeks and was glad to find it again.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, I love these cards, think I prefer the first but can't explain why, I just do! It's a brilliant technique, I must have a go.
ReplyDeleteI actually like them both - I bet they'd make a great gift set if you did a few then make a box to put them in... variations on a theme to tie them together... can't choose between them personally.
