Good morning all you WOYWWers! It took me all week, but I managed to get around to everyone's desks again last week, wow what a journey!
Some people are SO tidy, I think that there must be a tidy gene, which must have been given out when I was at the back of the queue. I don't there were any left for me.
Here are the remnants of yesterday's play. I indulged myself in doing just what I fancied, some of the results of which are in the post below this one. Here there are still about three cards under construction.
I don't have a big yellow tape gun thingy, but I do have a drawer full of glue gliders. I bought these on eBay and get through them at an incredible rate, but they are good value, 20m for 99p (post free because I buy in bulk). They are so much quicker to use than DST. When they're gone I may consider a gun!

If you would like to see other workspaces today, then jump over to Julia's, the link is on my sidebar... and have fun!
Digi Doodles are the sponsors for this week's recipe challenge over at Cooking it Up with Katie, which is where this beautiful image came from for my DT card.

The ingredients for the challenge this week are Flowers, Squares and Pink.
The paper is from Pink Petticoat, the sentiment from Hero Arts and once more I have coloured the ribbon to match the matting paper with a Copic or Promarker pen (can't remember precisely which is was now). My cheap grosgrain ribbon from eBay is certainly getting used quickly, but it works SO well!
If you've never tried a recipe challenge before, today might be a good day, hop on over and take a look.
wow Chrissie you are one busy lady as your desk is testement to that, love your dt card for MTTC that you've posted ready for the glitz challenge
ReplyDeletehugs
I love the tape, too. But like you, have found it goes so quickly. Congrats on getting around to everyone. I tried, but I may have missed a few by accident. Love your card, too. Goes great in your easel. Happy WOYWW.
ReplyDeleteGreat desk, love th pic with all the glue runners lol.
ReplyDeleteKate x
What a lot of tape runners. I have the gun but still like the convenience of those little runners. So neat to handle.
ReplyDeleteLove your card and your desk is not untidy - just a working desk.
Hi Chrissie
ReplyDeletefunny how we all use differant things, i had some of those glue runners, then got loads DSST but the back doesnt always want to come of, plus once its down it doesnt move!! As im not good at doing straight i use me uhu glue, i can slide it sorta straight then!! lol
Have great day hun, sue,x
Your desk is fine, tidy really .... that is serious tape pen hoarding.

Lovely card on your Woyww easel, and such a tidy desk, and sooo many tape pens! I have one...and its the one that doesn't stick, which I didn't realise, have a great woyww!
ReplyDelete((Lyn))
Love the card, looks great in the easel. Desk is looking good today - full and busy!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card.. I have an ATG gun, was bought it as a pressie and I love love love it.. and I now have even fathomed how to re-fill it myself without having to call for assistance from Grim LOL
ReplyDeleteI love my ATG, Viking currently have them on offer, under £30 for the gun and 10 rolls of tape.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a yellow tape gun thingy either..i feel slightly left out lol.. but after seeing darcys comment above i feel a little spend coming on lol
ReplyDeleteOh you've got one my perennial faves on your desk this morning Chrissie - 'my Mother's dress' by Dawn Houser. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThe Artemio stamps: gently glide an emery board over them and wash well in hot soapy water - the release silicone they use 'coats' the stamp surface which makes inking them difficult - until you get rid of it. Now I've sussed that, I don't think twice about any of the inks I use with them - although the Distress Inks are still pants for actually inking and stamp brand! Onmy desk I've used Metallic Stazon and Fluid Chalks on them. Good luck!
WOW I want them glue gliders...i get through them quickly too. I love the projects you have been working on too.

Not sure if I'm late for last week or early for this week. How much tape!

Wow your glue collection is impressive - I mostly use UHU but it can be a bit messy if you're not careful. Love what you're working on and that chair card is beautiful
ReplyDeleteAnne xx
Morning Chrissie - fancy meeting you here!!!! I love your card (and the "window" ones from yesterday's post) - impressive glue collection too, that'll take a while to work through!
ReplyDeleteJulie xx
Great busy desk there and a nice pile of tapes too! I have the gun - well worth it with the offer on at Viking
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie ... I see you mention the tidy gene ... but did you say where I could get one from :0)
ReplyDeleteLovely card, I have a gun but can't get the tape at the moment so am using UHU glue gliders - they are good but as you say you get through them so fast! Uh your desk is just full of lovely stuff to snoop!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cardarian
I like your ribbon full of ribbons!
ReplyDeletewow what a stash of tape runners! love the idea of spontanious cards :0) Love the tree one with window in previous post :0)
ReplyDeleteHappy woyww *hugs* Heather x
Busy desk hun xx I have some candy :0), would love you to have the chance to win, it's Here
ReplyDeleteI think those glue gliders are breeding in there to ensure you'll never get an ATG!! The ATG rolls work out at under £2 (including p&p) for 50m so are more economical. Also think how many empty plastic reels you are throwing away and you can pick up an ATG for around £10.
ReplyDeletelove your busy desk and the gorgeous card,
JoZarty x
I get on with DST fine - apart form the once its stuck its stuck thing, u can't pick it off and reuse it! Colouring gosgrain is genius - does it use a lot of ink tho? I like the kite image to the left of your desk!
ReplyDeleteuhu! that's a lot of glue gliders.. sorry couldn't resist that comment.. thank you for showing :))
ReplyDeleteLots to look at here this week, and some beautiful work in progress ....! Great desk!

He he, you made me chuckle when I saw the glue gliders. It must be fab to always have one ready to use! I only buy one at the time, that's no good, or maybe it is, I need to visit the craft store more often :)

ReplyDeletelove all those tape pens and would love to find where you get those from. I'm also a big fan of Pink Petticoat and have lots of her paper collections, loving the damask and colourwash damasks, florals, and a cd 'Just an old fashioned girl'... anyway - I've often wondered about one of those big yellow gun things and know a few peeps who have one... def one to think about.
take care, i'll be back soon

ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening hugs Jo.
So glad you popped by my blog..I love your cards and your work space is much like mine....in a state of constant use!
ReplyDeletePretty cards on your desk today. I gave up the tap runners along time ago (I was always running out) and switched to an atg gun, which I love and it lasts a long time.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely cards you've made there!
ReplyDeleteWonderful desk Chrissie, so many beautiful things. I'm staggered by all your tape runners! Hope you put the gubbins in the recycling box when your're done though!! Have a wonderful crafty weekend.
