Oh Dear!
All those people who looked at my room last week and thought that I was tidy and organised... how wrong can anyone be. Today anywhere is my room is a mess... the bed is strewn with anything and everything, the floor is also liberally decorated... there's still room for me on my chair though!
On my desk is a new large acrylic block with a handle for the stamping of huge stamps which will cover a whole card. It arrived yesterday. I think there's a bit of a technique to using these, a) in getting the amount of ink correct and b) the pressure over the paper, but I'm sure I'll get there.
I'm wondering about getting one of those hexagonal, swivelly desk caddies, but I think that the size might just swamp my tiny work surface.
My husband and I have embarked on a slimming regime... I've lost 9 and a half pounds but my husband has lost almost 2 stones in 5 weeks! He's been Slimmer of the week twice and was Slimmer of the month for September. He's got more stickers than I've had hot dinners! At least my weight is moving in the right direction!
Have a great Wednesday and do join Julia and the snoopers of the world. The link is on my sidebar.
I like your design - a busy, active crafting space!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to both you and your husband - I'll give you my star though; it's so much harder for us to lose weight than the guys ! * x

ReplyDeleteHave fab wednesday and creative week
hugs judex28
The lunch in Winchester didn't do too much damage then??! Well done you and to hubby too, thought it's soooo unfair that men lose weight more quickly than us lovelies :(
ReplyDeleteI seem to have cut out a million bunts over the past two days - roll on the fairs! Hugs, LLJ xx
Love your busy crafting space. Huge congrats on the wonderful weight loss for you both.
ReplyDeleteA x
Lovely craft space... and WELL DONE to you both.. feels good loosing weight...and why do men loose it quicker...!! it's not fair.. but keep going he will slow down so you can catch up

Oh Chrissie I thought my desk was a mess but I think you win the prize. When I get my new craft area in the new house perhaps I can have some shelves put up which will make life easier.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations with the weight loss. I need to get rid of some of the excess round the middle ready for the Wedding next year. perhaps when everything is sorted and the stress levels go down I will be able to concentrate on it.

Woww.... someone's desk is untider than mine!! hehe

Desks like this are far more interesting than tidy desks!! Good luck with the weight loss, stick some butter in your husband's dinner when he's not looking ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHi there. Just a quick peek around the door this week as time is definitely not on my side! I did want to visit though.
ReplyDeleteHi there Chrissie, well done and big congrats on the weight loss!! my sister and I are doing the same thing and thanks to gardening, walking and eating correctly things are moving here in right direction too.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes so know what you mean to have the right technique for large stamps, Shaz in oz.x
Happy WOYWW! What a fab creative space Chrissie, lots of interesting things going on.
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations on your weight loss!
Warm hugs
Maarit

Well done to you both on your weight loss. Men do tend to lose it quicker than women so don't get disheartened. Slow and steady is the best way to lose it and keep it off.
ReplyDeleteLove Mandy xxx
Who wants a tidy workspace...I do...lol Thanks for the peek and sharing.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great WOYWW.
xoxo Marjo
Your workspace isn't so bad - there's still space to craft on :) Congratulations on your weight loss and it's a known fact that men lose weight much more easily than women - unfair but true! I think it's great that you are doing it together - if I could persuade my husband it would be nothing short of a miracle. Hope you have another successful week on the scales. Elizabeth x #53
ReplyDeleteOh I do like to see a crafting space get USED! I have my eye on one of those hexagonal caddies too but agree that they probably take up too much space.
ReplyDeleteApparently losing weight slowly means you're more likely to keep it off... ! Vx
Congratulations on yours and your hubby's weight losses. I have no idea what a stone is, but it sounds like something worth celebrating over. Happy WOYWW from # 11.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a lovely creative desk there. Well done both on your weight losses - I joined Weight Watchers last week and I only lost .5lb but as I had had two meals out, 2 bottles of wine and a childs birthday buffet I was actually really quite pleased! have a fab week.
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me Chrissie! Like the floral card at left. The acrylic block makes sense to me in a way - I wish the handle was the other way - that way you wouldn't be forced to rock or over pressure one end or the other. I think. Let us know what you discover about it.
ReplyDeleteYep quite a difference but creative people are not usually known for there tidiness:)

Well done on the weight loss - don't overdo it. We all need a little bit extra to keep us cosy through the winter - oh no that's squirrels and bears isn't it - lol. x Jo
ReplyDeleteWell done on that weight loss, keep going, but gently. I like the look of that flower border on that card - really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI would say your are giving your desk a run for the money this week! Good craftin' going on!
ReplyDeleteNice to see a messy desk Chrissie, makes me feel a lot better when I look at mine as that is always messy it seems!ooh well done to you and OH have you any slimming secrets you can share ??:O) Viv xx
