Design Seeds have some amazing colour combinations with pictures sure to inspire!
This is the one we are using at "Less is More" this week.
I stamped and inked a piece of card with a tree image from Darkroom Door using colours from Adirondack inks.
Once I had finished inking, I chopped up the card to use parts of it in two separate cards. I like to make a larger piece than I need as I can often see that just part of the image has more effect than the whole thing.
For this part of the image, I overstamped it with a sanded stamp from SU and put it behind a frame. I don't know which one I prefer, maybe the first!
I think it's fun making this kind of card.
Ooh, Chrissie, these are fabulous! I love the depth you've achieved, and those trees are positively glowing! The first one was my favourite initially, but the more I look at the second one with its sanded look, the more I like that one!
ReplyDeleteWow Chrissie, they are both stunning.... love the misty autumnal morning scene :0)

Love these cards. I don't often equate yellow with sympathy cards but in this design the vibe is totally right.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are amazing Chrissie - totally gorgeous! Jo x
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous, love them
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely! Could you please share the Darkroom image you used? And the Adirondack ink? Would love to try and make the same card, you've inspired me so!, but not so sure how to proceed. Did you ink the back ground first, or is that the stamp? Is that torn paper for the horizon, etc., or is that the stamp? Could you please give a more thorough explanation of your technique? I JUST LOVE this image! Totally beautiful. (and I'm pretty laid back without much excitement for most stuff, but this has gotten me positively exhilarated! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely fabulous Chrissie, I like them both very much.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!

Breathtaking, Chrissie! Simply breathtaking!!
ReplyDeleteThey are both just stunning Chrissie - the first is really clean but I think I like the added texture from the overstamping on the second just because it adds more interest. I love them both though!
