This little masked and sponged square with the stamped bits and pieces is what I finally decided upon.
The butterfly and the grasses are from Indigo Blu and the splodges from SU French Foliage (I love that set). The sentiment is a little clear stamp from Studio G.
Anything Goes - Here Comes Summer
I finally finished my Retirement cards and delivered then this morning, here are another couple... they are huge... A4 size (8.25 x 11.75 inches approx) and quite a challenge to fill!
I hope there will be enough room for all the signatures!

Wonderful cards, you had a hard task there, you are sooooo clever!!! x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about those colours but you've done a fab job with them. Great retirement cards too, so hard to 'fill' an a4 card.
ReplyDeleteFab cards Chrissie, they are tricky colours to put together and then add in the one layer aspect too!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the heap of apples on the teachers desk:)

Love your OLW card, Chrissie...beautiful job on the colors! What size is A4? About 5 x 7 inches? I used to do that size all the time, now I mostly stick with the 4.25 x 5.5 inch (A2?)
ReplyDeleteAnyway....lovely cards, all!
My Card
I think you did a great job on this card. I like the colors but never use them. That is what is good about these challenges. They make us stretch ourselves. I loved the card.
ReplyDeletePauiline H,
Hi Chrissie! Your one layer card is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the scene...your butterfly and sentiment(placement and colors) are perfect with your grasses...and wonderful use of the colors. Love the retirement cards, too...love how you personalized them...both so different, but both wonderful...very nice:)!!
ReplyDeleteWell Chrissie, it may have been a challenge to you but you nailed it. The butterfly and grass combination is gorgeous and you have inspired me to try those colours together too. I would probably not reach for them otherwise.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your butterfly OLC, it doesn't look like you struggled from here, it's perfect!
