My Time to Craft - Damask Delights

The challenge this week over at My Time to Craft is entitled Damask Delights.I don't know about you, but when I hear the word Damask, table cloths immediately spring to mind. In fact if you look closely at the picture you will see that the backdrop for my cards is in fact precisely that... a damask tablecloth. I drape it over a cardboard box, which I have cut down on two sides in order to open up the front and make a little studio!

I had thought about getting one of those light cube thingys, but a chap in a photographic shop said that this works just as well, and with my daylight lamp, it does!

On to the card. I have used both damask paper and a damask patterned embossing folder on Cor-dinations paper, which I lightly sanded after embossing. I love the Brad which is from a Papermania kit, which enables you to use a piece of the backing paper to add the design to it. The stamp is from Penny Black, mounted on Nesties. Sadly this card will be expensive to post as it's rather fat with the brad and the ribbon together. Maybe it can be handed to the recipient!
