The Pink Elephant Challenge # 21 Favourite Colour Combo

I needed more white card yesterday and so had to go to my local Paper Mill Shop to stock up.
It's fatal!
Why can't I go into that establishment and come out with ONLY what I actually went in to purchase?
I had received emails from them about a new range of goodies they had in stock from My Mind's Eye, which looked quite nice in the email, but when I actually saw them... well they were fab!
The variety which particularly appealed to me is called Wild Asparagus. The colours are just wonderful, vintage, muted and completely yummy. Some of the papers are double sided, some embossed, so I bought a paper stack, ribbons and some clear stamps. They have wood-backed ones too which are only 99p each!
The Pink Elephant Challenge this week calls for our favourite colour combination. I think that this mix of blue and brown is just lovely. The image is another of Chris Dark's digi stamps. I think I'm going to have to form a fan club. I just love her work. I bought a whole bunch more downloads yesterday and have really enjoyed starting to colour some. I think I'm going to pop this in as a second entry this week to Dare U 2 Digi Stamp as it contains embossing!
This a simple layout, using mainly My Mind's Eye papers, with a little plain blue for highlighting, chalked to blend in with the DPs. I added a small section of Cor'dinations cardstock, embossed and sanded to make the image a little more prominant.
I was quite pleased with this, I hope you like it!

  4. Hi Chrissie, well I'm glad you decided to put this card in DU too this week, it's absolutely beautiful! I love the colour scheme and the sanded embossing looks wonderful. I would love to live a bit nearer to a Papermill shop, but in some respects it's probably just as well that I don't :D. I'm probably going to have to give in and get the Wild Asparagus, it looks gorgeous. Chris x
