The weeks seem to come around so quickly these days ... must be a sign of getting old... and we are back to a colour challenge once again at Less is More...
and it's PINK!
This doesn't look terribly focused but it's a simple card for a new baby. The elephants were punched using a Martha Stewart punch, purchased at Michael's in Palm Desert during my recent holiday. The centre one has had Glamour dust added for a little extra twinkle. The paper is Harlequin from Pink Petticoat.
Here I used watercolour pencils on dark cardstock, starting with white and followed by a couple a shades of pink, before blending the colours with a water brush.
A die-cut exposition!
These are Memory box dies from Simon Says Stamp.
More die-cuts... Dienamics this time!
and don't you just love this sentiment.
I shall be off to the craft show at the NEC on Thursday with Anne (Stargroves), it would be great to meet up with any other LIMettes who may be going too!
I'm off later today to meet Val (Canonbury Creations) for a coffee as she is visiting Portsmouth! I'm looking forward to that. What fun!
Have a great week and my thoughts are with all the folks affected by Superstorm Sandy. I sincerely hope things will become easier as the days go by.

Gorgeous examples Chrissie, your example with watercolour pencils on dark cardstock is FAB, how cute are those elephants and the 'eating more cake' sentiment is brilliant.

Sorry wont be able to meet up at NEC, will be working, counting down the years until I retire, not too many left now!
Pink isn't my first choice of colour so it'll be fun to be challenged. Your samples are fabulous as always Chrissie! Vicky x

ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful. Different pink for different kind of opportunity. :)
ReplyDeleteNot my fave colour either but good to do something out of your 'comfort zone' every now and then. Thanks for your comment Chrissie but have only just chosen my prize due to confusion on my part, so it's not late don't worry. Have fun at the NEC.

ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie,
ReplyDeleteI'm sad I missed the pink challenge this week. I had my card ready for posting Thursday morning (a pink rooster no less!), but I ended up in the hospital in the middle of the night Wednesday night from a flare-up of my Crohn's Disease. I'm still here (Friday night) awaiting results of CT scan, on pain meds. During the intermissions of pain, I'm able to hop around on the laptop via the why phi. Loved your pink inspiration cards, simply gorgeous! Hopefully I'll see you next week!! Hearts, Darnell
