Embossed background

I'm on a roll today, having had very little inspiration over the holiday. It's surprising what a little quiet time can do!
This card combines these challenges.
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Sketch
Creative Inspirations - Thank you
ABC Christmas Challenge - Angels
I thought that this card could be a 'thank you for a Christmas present' card (tenous link) but I think it will be useful!
The background is embossed with Cuttlebug snowflakes and swirls folders and the rectangle is cut out with a Nestie. The cloud stamps are from Unity Stamps and the sentiment was computer generated.

Beautiful Ribbon!

I received a length of this beautiful ribbon in a Secret Santa package from some kind person on the Cuddly Buddly forum. Isn't it simply beautiful!
As Tilda was holding a bunch of flowers similar to those on the edge of the ribbon, I thought that I would use it for her.
The challenges this time are:-
Just Magnolia - Sketch
Colour Create - Lemon & Lime
Crafty Cardmakers - Favourites of 2009 (this simply has to be my Copics, it took me ages to get them, but now I wouldn't be without them!)
Roses on Paper - Favourite medium (once more it has to be my Copics)
The additional challenge for Colour Create was to use Spring or Summer flowers, which I hadn't noticed until I came to link my card to their challenge, what a piece of luck that I had done this element too!
I thought that I was doing this for an angel challenge too, but then I remembered that it was supposed to be for ABC's new Christmas challenge, so this won't exactly do!! Never mind, I'll have to find another angel for that one!
The papers are Pink Petticoat and the Stampin Up sentiment is cut with a Nestie and mounted on a Cuttlebug tag.

Happy New Year

A card for several challenges!
DP2 Challenge - New Beginning
Stampin for the Weekend - New Beginning
Daring Cardmakers - New Beginning
Crazy 4 Challenges - Polka Dots
Secret Crafter - New Beginnings
Digital Tuesday - Dazzling Diamond for snow Winter Scene
Alphabet Challenges - J Jewels
Sketch & Stash - Sketch
Charisma Cardz - Celebrations
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Pile it On - Anything digital
This wonderful, inviting image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, which I coloured with Copics. The polka dot paper is from Pink Petticoat and the wine coloured cardstock has been sitting in my drawer for a long time... I knew it would come in handy sometime!
I made the sentiment on the computer, which I cut out with a Nestie and mounted on a Cuttlebug tag.
The dazzle is in fact Glamour Dust and the jewels have been twinkled with a little red glitter.

ABC Challenge, Cards & Things & Copic Creations

Happy New Year Everyone!
At last another card!
This super image from Mo's Digital Pencil is for the ABC Challenge K for Kissing and I have also incorporated the colours from Cards and Things Challenge, which this time around is Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue and Always Artichoke. I'm not sure how close the colours which I have used are, but I tried. Copic Creations this week require the colouring of 'fur'. This is my attempt... although shaded, it doesn't look particularly furry!
The image is coloured with Copics and the stripy paper is Pink Petticoat. The blue circle was heat embossed with a Hero Arts flower stamp. The leaves are from a Leonie EM punch.
We are gradually getting used to being just the two of us in the house and are missing Daisy our granddaughter enormously! We'll have to take a trip to Bath very soon I think!
