The challenge this week at 'Less is More' is SAND.
We have a Guest Designer, Hannelie, whose blog is called Desert Diva...hence the theme this time.
This is a digi stamp from Just INK lined, coloured with Copics and mounted using a Sizzix die. The two shells are from an old Cuttlebug die, one of the first I bought. I love the crispness of the cutting from these dies.
The sentiment is from a clear set by Hero Arts.
This one is a digi image from the Wax Fruit Company and coloured with various markers, it has a measure of Glamour Dust added which makes the sea look great I think!
The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.
This sand coloured cat makes me smile!
He's really howling! I bought it from Creative Images, and ended up buying a grab bag of unseen, assorted stamps at the same time. There were a few good ones, amongst them was a stamp with this sentiment although I have made this one on the computer. That made me smile too!
We have had a couple of disasters in the house recently including water through the ceiling and an exploding microwave.
When the new one (microwave) arrived it wouldn't fit into the gap left by the old one and so the chaps had to partially dismantle some of my kitchen and take it away to adapt so that the oven and microwave would both fit.
This they did admirably, bringing it back the next day only to find that the microwave wouldn't work.
To cut an extremely long story shorter... after being taken away and tested, a day later all is back and all is in place and working.
Quelle relief!
We still have to have the dining room ceiling replaced, but that's another story!
Have a great weekend!
Sounds like an eventful week!!!

Three lovely cards. You have captured the sparkle on the water beautifully in the second card.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant set of cards Chrissie, I so love those beach huts and your 'cat' card is so funny, I know someone who will just love the setiment. Your sea glimmer is wonderful, must remember to try it next time I create a seascape. Hope that you get your ceiling sorted and the room decorated without too much fuss, thing you have had enough goings on in the kitchen, looks super smart now!
ReplyDeleteLove your beach cabins - reminds me of a chick trip I tool a few years ago -- love your beach scene also - the touch of glitter makes the water look like it has waves hitting the shore -- awesome cards this week Missy! :)
ReplyDeleteFab cards, I DO love that Arielle digi, looks like the perfect place to be.

I'm so glad your microwave debacle is finally behind you...at least you had a day or so with 'no cooking' :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your cards, Chrissie! Your die cuts on the 1st card are so pretty and I love all the sparkle on the ocean on the next card...Love the sleek look of the umbrellas, too! Your last card is so adorable...love how you framed your cute little kitty! Thanks for making me smile!
Oh dear. You sound very relaxed about it Chrissie but a week like that would have finished me off! Glad you're sorted with your microwave but the dining room ceiling sounds a bit more complicated... Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteI love your cards this week, particularly the beach scene with the parasols and the sparkling sea. Love the beach huts too and the cat made me giggle.
