For the last couple of days, we've had our grandchildren staying with us. My husband was so excited to have Daisy coming to stay as they have a very special relationship... they're 'best mates' and spend much time together when she comes to stay. My daughter is always glad of a hand to help out with meals and bathtime etc. too. Last night her husband joined us and tomorrow Daisy is being taken to a Peppa Pig show at the theatre in Winchester. I think it may be Grandpops and Daddy who accompany her! Sebastian is not yet sleeping through the night, but hopefully he'll get there soon!
On to this card, for which I used a Rollagraph wheel, stamped in Versamark and embossed with white detail embossing powder.
I then coloured the flowers with Stampin' Up inks applied with a water brush.
You can see details of how I made it on my "Less is More" blog as this is my sample card for this week.
The challenge is a One Layer Card with a theme entitled Off the Edge!
Needless to say, not a lot of crafting has been done in the last couple of days, but my daughter has asked for a wedding card for a friend in Australia, so I'll have to find time to squeeze that in before they leave tomorrow!
Have a good weekend everyone.
A beautiful card Chrissie, thanks for the interpretation, one layer cards arent my favourite, but it good for me to think more!

beautiful creation as always, such pretty shades too, works very well with that image. I think I used to have that wheel and I never inked mine either - what a waste!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying the family visit. My Mum is flying over on the 21st for a few days, I can't wait!

Heyu Chrissie,
ReplyDeleteI so love your design, to use a rolla wheel like this, they never work out like this for me....So big respect on that score for a start...
You have done a beautiful job overall, all the colours work together and your sentiment is perfectly placed, don't be suprised if I seem to stalk you, I so want to learn. My card this week was so inspired from your theme, I can't wait for your Simon Cowell answer....Your honesty will be taken well good or bad, thats the only way to learn eh....
Sounds like you are well busy at home with the family, that's what keeps us going eh....
Thank you for the inspiration this week chick

ReplyDeleteI love the shimmery effect of the embossing and the light touch of color! Beautiful! Enjoy those babies!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for being able to use that wheel and get a straight stamp across the card! I finally gave up and took mine off the wheels and put tack it on the back so that I can use them with a big acrylic block! Love your embossing too...I stink at that! I tried it this week and finally gave up! Thanks for a wonderful challenge!
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie . . . lovely elegant card you've made there! The white embossing is just so effective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your encouragement and kind words about my cards over the last few weeks. Loving your LiM challenge blog (as is everyone else in blogland!)
Hugs, Sandra
HI Chrissie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card this week, as always... I have a Rollergraph but not this particular stamp. I think you really need to load the stamp with ink before you roll it onto a card and for this reason mine turn out quite badly, obviously need to practice a lot more lol...
Gorgeous colours, so delicate and ethereal...
Thank you for all of your encouraging comments and feedback. Really enjoying being a part of the LIM community. Off to comment on some more cards now. Have fun with your family:-)
Beautiful card love the delicate colours.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Chrissie, I can't imagine being able to roll a wheel in a straight line, let alone one that stamps!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant colours.

ReplyDeletemy poor wheels are collecting dust. thanks for the reminder to get them out!

You asked how big the Go Create biggest circle is which I have used for my card which I have entered. Its about 5 1/2 inches (14 cm ) approx. It makes a decent size card really and will go in a 6 inch square envelope.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me. Just love your card and the colours.
