This is just a very quick post as my daughter asked me to blog this stationery which I made for friends of theirs some time ago!
She has some other friends who wanted to see the sort of thing that I do, so where better to show them than on my blog!
The couple who commissioned this stationery had wanted to have the rich red as an accent, but liked the colour so much they decided to have it as the main colour and use ivory as the accent. The bridesmaid's dresses for this Christmas wedding were this beautiful rich red colour.
This picture shows the Save the Date, Main Invitation, Thank you and place cards. You can also see the table plan on another post. (Click on Wedding on the Labels section on my sidebar to see the rest of my wedding stationery) I did do menus for them too, but I don't know what happened to my sample of that.
Your stationery looks really lovely Chrissie. Really love the design you've used. I have done wedding stationery but as I like to make every card I make different from the next it really isn't a job I enjoy.

Stunning - you should be in business... Quite right that you are showcasing this to all the world - I'll eat my hat if you don't get futher commissions from this - and the very fact that all of your cards are stunning and have the wow factor - is testament to your talents as a card maker.

Japanese tradition calls for giving money, so you might just want to go ahead and consider that. If that won't work, come right out and ask them what they want or need.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a Christmas wedding stationery.
