Hi everyone,
I'm a 60 something brand new Granny to Daisy; my daughter's firstborn and an absolute poppet.
I have a son, who at 32 is about to start his first proper job. He's been a perpetual student 'til now, having gained three degrees, the latest being in medicine, and it is in this field (hopefully) where his future lies. He was married nearly 2 weeks ago.
I am card maker of about 18 months experience, but totally addicted.
I am looking forward to our association as a group and all that it entails!

Tilda & Co Challenge ~ Bugs
This is the first card that I have made since the wedding. It seems that there are lots of people to thank!
Yesterday my son and his new wife removed various items of furniture from our garage, where they have been in store for quite some time, to take to their new home!
Things are gradually getting back to normal!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge Animals Only ... No People Allowed
I have just returned from a fabulous long weekend in Cambridge for my son's wedding. Despite a few drops of rain, we have had the most amazingly happy time.
I may post a picture of the cake... very appropriate for a couple of doctors. Watch this space!
This is my challenge card for this week. I'm very fond of Hedgie!

Papertake Weekly Challenge
Another first!
My first Papertake Weekly Challenge card!
This is one of my new Tilda stamps which arrived this week.
I almost missed out one of the elements and had to add it at the end... can you tell which one it is? I think it's a bit obvious, as it doesn't seem to fit with the rest, as it was in fact, an afterthought!
Comments would be most welcome!

My latest Tilda stamp!
I have just bought a few more Tilda stamps and this is the first one that I have tried out.
They give such a clear print. I really like them.
Cuttlebug sentiment
Nestabilities frames
Canon Scrapbook Papers
I've even managed to get a signature this time... with a little help from my friends!
Thanks to Sharon and Sue

Cute Card Thursday Challenge
I'm very much still learning how things are done on Blogs.
I thought that I would have another go at a challenge. I'm trying to find out how other people do clever things like hyper links etc, so the more I do, hopefully the more I'll discover.
Several family members like fishing, so I thought that this might be a good subject for 'The great outdoors'
Thank you for looking, and as always, comments would be appreciated.

Docraft Magnolia / Tilda Challenge
I was asked to set the theme for the Magnolia / Tilda Challenge on the Docraft website this week. My username there is Chrissyjob!
I chose the theme of 'Buttons and Bows'. One added stipulation was that the ribbon or thread or whatever, should be threaded somehow.
I fancied using flower shaped buttons but could only find a couple skulking in the bottom of my button tin, so I made another from shrink plastic.
I would be delighted if you could leave a comment!
If anyone can tell me how to add an aparently hand written signature to a post, I am very eager to find out!
Thanks!

Sketch Saturday Challenge
Being very new to blogging...like 2 days experience, this is my first Blog challenge card . The layout is from Sketch Saturday.
I really enjoyed making this card. The papers are free downloads from the Canon Scrapbook site. I absolutely love them, there are so many lovely co-ordinating papers in extremely subtle shades.
The stamp is Maggie from Bootiful Stampz. I believe the sentiment stamp is from Anita's range.
I would appreciate comments from anyone taking a look at my Blog!
Thanks for stopping by!

The young lady who has captivated our hearts
Meet Daisy Annabel, our brand new granddaughter!
Born a week early on June 29th 2008.
She is simply adorable and we can't wait to start being proper grandparents and spoiling her rotten!
Don't you just love her!
Penny Black Dog
This image takes me back to the time when my son was tiny and loved Richard Scarry books. There was a character called Davy Dog; my son was called David, and from then onwards he became Davy Dog. I thought that I would use this image for his upcoming birthday, but before then we have his wedding to look forward to. So much happiness!
Some of my creations!

My son's wedding stationery
This is my latest wedding stationery.
My son will be getting married on July 18th in Cambridge.
He and his new wife will be working as junior doctors in Addenbrooks and West Suffolk Hospitals respectively.
What excitement!
My very first attempt at card making...my daughter's wedding stationery
This is the invitation that I have been trying to upload for sometime. Will I ever get the hang of this modern technology?
My daughter's wedding invitations
This was my first attempt at card making.
My daughter wanted handmade stationery for her wedding and I was the one nominated to do it.
I actually discovered that I really love it and now am totally hooked.
I have done the stationery for three weddings, well, almost , I have yet to complete the Orders of Service for my son's wedding which is on the 18th of this month... just a few more days! I'd better get my skates on!
