Friday Sketchers & 365 Cards Day 147 Scraplift Saturday
For this challenge from 365 Cards, we must take inspiration from one member of the design team. I chose Vicky and this is the posting which I took as inspiration.
I had to do a little improvising as I hadn't heard of Mod Podge, and am not even sure whether it's available in this country, so instead I used a little PVA adhesive mixed with water.
I coloured the dress with Derwent Inktense pencils and a water brush and then coated it with the glue mixture and stuck on the crushed tissue paper, I then put on another layer of glue. When it was dry I cut it out and paper pieced it on to another stamped image.
I chose this particular stamp for the flower as it was the closest in design to the flower on the young lady's dress. It was a little larger, but I cut it down somewhat.
The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.

Chrissie, this looks gorgeous!!! You did a great job with the faux silk technique :). Mod Podge is a great glue that I didn't realize is only available in the states! It's originally intended for decoupage, so you can use it as a glue or a finishing sealant.
ReplyDelete:) so cute!!!
