365 Cards Days 125 & 126 , Cuttlebug Challenges Red, White, Blue + Buttons One Stop Crafts Stars & Stripes

A couple of cards for a variety of challenges.

Today's card for 365 Cards is also for Cuttlebug Challenges Red, White & Blue Challenge, for One Stop Crafts Stars & Stripes and Our Creative Corner Red - White & Blue. As it has three buttons, it also falls in line with Charisma Cards Challenge, which is Buttons! Cute Card Thursday's request this week is for sewing, either faux or real... here we have the faux variety, so that's as additional challenge!
I also discovered that it just happens to be a similar layout as the sketch for Clean & Simple stamping FTL#49.
The image is from Chris Dark at Sketching Stamper, coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils and a water brush. As the sentiment is from Penny Black, we'll add that challenge to the list as they are requesting red, white and blue too.

It will soon be my son's first wedding anniversary and so this card for Day 125 of 365 cards entitled 'It's a snap' had to have a way of being fastened. This gatefold card is fastened with the ribbon which encircles it and is threaded though ribbon slots at the front.
I embossed the front with a square Nestie. It's a similar principle to my daughter's wedding invitations, but I had to hand emboss those as I didn't possess any Nesties in 2007!
