This is how my desk was left last night.
During the day Mr Postman brought me part of my latest Stampin' Up order, so I had to have a little play. The card on the left is what emerged. On the desk you can see a box of Stampin' Up clear buttons, which were a prize once, but I wasn't sure how best to use them. Then I came up with the idea of using a piece of double sided tape underneath the button and adding some card or paper from those used on the card. I think it looks great.
These cards were also amongst the day's efforts.
I had made the split negative card on my previous post and the one on the right is what I made with the other pair of halved stamped images.
The card with the 30 on is for my daughter's 30th birthday which is on the 28th!
I think I managed to visit everyone last week and received lots of lovely comments from other WOYWWers. Jump over to Julia's to see what other people have on their desks.
Happy Christmas wherever you are!

And I'm here this week to wish you a joyous, safe, and warm Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAs for the buttons, another thing you could do is use some of your markers to color them. You can make dots, swirls, and plaid designs. I've done that before using gel pens. Just a thought, since I like your idea, too.
Merry Christmas Chrissie! Your card looks fab! Happy WOYWW!

Thanks for coming stopping at my blog and taking a look see. A proportion wheel is a tool used by printers to quickly find out how much to enlarge or reduce something. If you wander back it's the large circle on the shelf that's all yellowed with time.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Christmas and a wonderful new year.

ReplyDeleteI love the card that's sitting on the lower LEFT hand corner of your desk -- looks like a sponged background in 3 colours and a leafy stamp?? Just beautiful -- I'd love to see a tutorial as I'm not good at doing that but LOVE the results :o)
SO beautiful cards!

I was wondering if you could do me a little favour as I notice you can get into Moy Yin's blog and comment. well, I haven't been able to get into her blog for well over eight weeks now, it just goes dark over the whole page and nothing is clickable. If I'm VERY quick I might be able to get one letter in the comment box before it goes dark, but then still can't type anything more or even go to her profile page. She must think I'm really mean!

Lovely card, stamps and other assorted goodies that you have on your desk. I like the idea of coloured/patterned paper under your buttons. Have you tried alcohol inks, they work a treat as well. Duplo?? reading back it might have something to do with stamping?
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely christmas.

Love your card and see through buttons are my favourite as you can do so much with them! I use glossy accents and then glue papers to bottom, dictionery paper or words look really cool too!
