It's been a while since I used this technique and when I was reminded of it on Stamp TV I decided to have another go.
The image is from Stampin' Up and I embossed two images one on white in pink and one on pink in white. I then cut the images in half and joined each half to its opposite colour. (I haven't finished the card which I made with the other two pieces yet.) Having stuck the two pieces together, I then stamped the body of the butterfly and cut it out with a Nestie.
The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and lightly inked in white. The trim is from a Fiskars 'Lace' border punch.

Pals Paper Arts - Get your lace in place (mine is paper lace as my genuine black lace was too broad for this card)
What a lovely effect. I love butterflies. Hope you have a great Christmas.
