I'm afraid the gold on this card is not very clear, but I used the alcohol lift technique on my background and whilst the ink was still wet, added some gilding flakes.
The foliage stamp is from Impression Obsession and the sentiment from Technique Tuesday, embossed in gold.
....beautiful card chrissie I can see the gold and it looks fabulous !I have tons of gilding flakes but never used them with AI I really must give them a try but they are little so and so's for escaping and attaching themselves everywhere except for where they are meant to be.

Chrissie... this is beautiful! I think the technique was great... I love the end result! Thank you so much for joining and sharing at Just Us Girls this week!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, I love that dreamy slightly out of focus look you have created with the alcohol ink background. Very clever. I haven't had gilding flakes out for a very long time. Perhaps it is time to change that xx
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous, Chrissie! So classy! And I love that the gold seems a bit faded, It's even more soft and elegant. Thanks so much for joining in at Just Us Girls this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty alcohol inked card! I'd like to hear how you applied the gold flake to with the leaf shapes...stencil? Stamp? Very nice result! Thank you for joining us at Just Us Girls Challenge!
