Here is another try at doing the Oxidised Metal technique for CAS Mix Up Challenge. I didn't get quite as messy with this one as with previous efforts. I used both an embossing folder to give texture to the piece and a die over the top. The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto a piece of mirri card too.
I haven't made my mind up whether or not I like this one! It looks better at certain angles but I can't quite capture a good one on camera!
The DT gals over at CAS MixUp have come up with some amazing examples, I take my hat off to them! Gorgeous, inspiring work!
Thanks to you all!
I love the copper tones and the texture! Another great example of Oxidised Metal! Thanks for joining us again at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteWonderful texture and colors, Chrissie! I love the white die cut on top! It's so hard to get a good photo of metal! Thanks so much for sharing with us again at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteWhether you like it or not, I do. A lot. So much texture and contrast, and the metal adds another dimension. This is really beautiful!

ReplyDeleteSo striking, Chrissie ... gorgeous subtle shimmer and shine! It might have been a smidge messy to create the oxidised look, but the finished card is just deliciously clean ... lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
