I really prefer simple minimalistic cards, but somehow I get sucked into doing a whole bunch of elaborate fancy stuff (for me anyway -however others might not think it fancy!). It's surprising how influenced we can be by what we see.
The stamp is from a set from Stampin Up, coloured with a little swipe of a Marvy pen on a glass plate and picked up with a water brush. The die cuts and embossing are Nesties and the sentiment is handwritten.
The recyled element in this card is the silver square. This was cut from the outer covering of a menu from a Christmas meal at my club. I went around after the lunch had finished and took (with permission) all the remaining menus and have been using the card ever since!

ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie, my sentiments exactly. Before card challenges my cards were relatively simple and now I feel obliged to add everything but the kitchen sink. I have this same SU stamp set and have never figured out how to color the birds to my liking...your creations are always such an inspiration to me. Thank you
