Dreams

I don't often use LOTV images... I think I should use them more often as they are simply delightful. For this one I made the sentiment on the computer and then stamped the image in the appropriate position. When using Word, I have the size of the page set to 105%.  On my machine, that is just about the actual size of a piece of A4 card. I can then hold an image stamped on a piece of regular copy paper against the screen, letting the light shine through it, to see where I want the words placed to complement it. A bit Heath Robinson, but it works for me.

I have had this stamp from Art Impressions for quite some time, but hadn't quite figured out how to use it!
I decided to trawl the internet for a sentiment which would fit and I think that this one seems pretty good! Needless to say it was computer generated... in Brubeck AH font, I thought the style of script suited the lines of the image.
This little guy just about sums up how I feel after tearing around the country this week looking after grandkids... but I just love that fact that a) my kids want me to help out and b) that I'm still able to do it!
It's one layer week once more at Less is More so these are examples for that challenge!
The theme is Dreams!

  1. Two brilliant cards for our theme, Chrissie. I always forget about my LOTV stamps as they are stored in a different area of my cupboard, I must dig them out and start using them! I love the sentiment on your second card, perfect for your great image, love it! xx

  2. I roared with laughter when I saw your sentiment on that flat bird Chrissie! You have such wit and were so clever to find that one. Your tip about lining up sentiments at 100% is pure genius - thank you so much for sharing that with us. Completely with you on LOTV front (must break mine out sometimes too). Marvellous inspiration xx

  3. Love these, such perfect dreams cards and fab imagery! The cute snoozing boy is exactly how I feel about 3 pm most days LOL so that made me smile :) And your second card made me laugh when I saw it in the line up - great humour! It's like the stamp was made just for that sentiment! Have a good weekend x

  4. Your second card is so funny, Chrissie, and is definitely how I feel after a week at work :) Love the sweet LOTV image too. Both are beautifully CAS and it is great to know how you place your computer generated sentiments. I have never been sure how to do that. I hope you get some rest after a busy week x

  9. I love both your cards but that chicken made me laugh and what a great sentiment too. A clever idea too on how you use Word to place your sentiments.
