Cuttlebug Embossing Tip... NO Lines!

Have you ever tried to emboss a small folder in the Cuttlebug, only to find that the pressure of the plates on the edges of the folder leaves embossed lines on the card?
Well here's a little trick I discovered which avoids that.
Instead of using the sandwich of base A plate, embossing folder plus card and 2 B plates, I use
  •  the base A  plate,
  •  then the folder with the card inside,
  •  a tan embossing mat
  •  C plate.
You get a really crisp emboss and NO LINES!
Another cunning plan!

  6. Thanks for the tip...I tried and it broke my c-plate but the embossing was without lines. LOL
This was a C plate that is about 3/4 years old so I guess it was time for a new one!

  20. So sorry to be negative but for those of us that use a Big Kick or a Big Shot is the tan mat the soft rubber mat......??? I believe ya'll A plate is our base plate and ya'll C plate are our clear plates......
I think...Anyhow if this is true than this is an remarkable solution to Big Kick & Big Shot users all over the world...hint...hint !!! Please, please if you could make a short tutorial video on this technique, I bet you would get thousands of hits.....because this is earth-shattering news !!!
Thank you so very much for all your hard work & dedication to solving a horrible injustice to cardstock everywhere....lol !!!
Again Thank you for your help !!!
