This is just a quickie as I've been struggling to do something all day and getting inkier and inkier and still not getting anywhere, so I'm taking a break and I'm popping out to deliver a New Baby card.
This is for the sketch challenge at The Friday Mash Up. I intended adding some dry embossing and forgot all about that, so except for the tiny bit around the Nestie, it's conspicuous by its absence!
I'm off!
Smashing card and fab colors - Happy Friday

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with us at The Friday Mashup!
Hi Chrissie, I really like your interpretation of the sketch. I moved the sentiment as well. Very pretty colour combo that goes so well with the country/home-y feel of your card. Thanks for joining the challenge at the Friday Mashup. Hope to see you playing along with us again soon.

This is a very stylish card, great colours and the design suits from 'country cottage' to 'town house' and anything in between.
ReplyDeleteFAB new home card my friend
ReplyDeleteYou're right ...sometimes it's just best to take a breather, if only for your own sanity!
ReplyDeleteI bet it all comes together afterwards :)

Taking a break really helps refuel those ideas so it's never a bad idea. This came out great... I love the colors you used. And a great Country feel too it. That's what we love about our challenges.. You can do them together or separately. Never worry if you forget one of the elements! It's a great "Mashup Card" . Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at the Friday Mashup!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Chrissy, love the monochromatic colour scheme!!! Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup.

Despite your struggles you've created a wonderful card! That's a great color combo and I love the gingham paper.
ReplyDeleteYou're so good at these homespun cards Chrissie. I love the checked DP and the striped ribbon and those gorgeous house silhouettes. I totally empathise with your frustration and just as long as it's a new baby card you're delivering and not a new baby as I first read, I'm sure you'll be feeling better! Vx
