365 Cards Day 223 In the Shadows & Caardvarks 'Take a Bow'

Today the challenge was to produce a card with a shadow somewhere. I decided to choose this bird image from Unity Stamps. I stamped one image with black Stazon then a second without re-inking the stamp. I really rather like the effect, although by using the grey leather embossed card as a frame, my husband thought it looked more like a sympathy card than a birthday greeting. I quite like it anyway.
The sentiment is computer generated and die cut with a Quickutz straight edge oval die. I used my Making Memories ribbon punch to make the ribbon slits. I used the Dovecraft ribbon on the wrong side as I preferred it with the rest of the elements. The stripy, right side looked a little dull in comparison.
On this side I think it looks good enough to enter into the Caardvark's challenge 'Take a bow' where beautiful ribbon techniques are to the fore! I hope this is good enough!
