A friend asked me to make a card for her niece and I spent an unproductive spell making a mess of each thing I tried and was totally lacking in inspiration until my dear friend Mandi said, do her name... HUGE! So I did and I love this card.
I used the huge SU alphabet she gave me, to stamp the name in Almost Amethyst and then glued and glittered it with Glamour Dust. I stamped and punched and glittered a couple of Martha Stewart butterflies and added a butterfly charm to the ribbon.
I made the sentiment on the computer picking up the colour from the Fred She Said digi paper.
The border punch is SU and the sentiment tab is Spellbinders.
One stitich at a time - Pretty
Robyn's Fetish - Bling it Up
Challenge Up Your Life - Monochrome
Stunning card Chrissie the alphabet makes a great statement and I love the colour x
ReplyDeleteBy the way congrats to you and Mandi on your new challeng blog. It's a refreshing change, as is obvious from the amount of entries!
Beautiful Chrissie.Love the colours you`ve used.
ReplyDeleteI once did something similar for my Mum on the computer, will have to give it another go.
How special is a card with your name on it?

Well, I've got to say that this card is definately the right thing to do for a girl - if all else fails... however - in your other post about the circular bag you said that you didn't really have a use for such cards... well - I recon the Sasha's of this world would just love them - especially with a smaller one as a matching gift tag or bag 'label'...
ReplyDeleteDid you actually cut her name out by hand after you stamped it because it looks like you did it with a cricut... you must have really steady hands!!!
Its really beautifully feminine - and the colour is so perfect, the butterfly detail was inspired...
