Gnome

I downloaded this digi image from a craft magazine's website... I thought he looked really cute. This one was called a DIY image as it was a separate gnome and two different sets of hands. This one holding a gingerbread man and another holding a bauble. The  problem arose in trying to put the hands in a credible place on the gnome. I worked in Word and had to use a text box to place the hands appropriately. I made the box transparent and when I had the size and position as good as I could get them, I removed the lines  from the text box and printed him. I think it looks as though the hands are emerging through his beard.
He's coloured with alcohol pens and after cutting out, popped onto dimensional pads.
The 'merry' is stacked and the lower gold layers just slightly offset, to give a little more dimension.
A snowy sky (Sheena Douglass) and (Memory Box) tree lined hillside completed the scene.

  2. Loving this Gnome Chrissie! I am truly hopeless with digis and if this had been me one of his hands would have been on his head and the other on his foot! Great card.

  3. How clever, Chrissy! Getting his hands and the gingerbread man into place sounds mind boggling. It was certainly worth the effort because this guy is adorable! Love all the elements of this card and the crispness of the green and white! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Christmas!

Great design with the dry embossed snow, line of trees, and the stamped and die-cut 'merry' in olive green. LOVE the olive and white! THanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas!
