Lots of things tell us when we're getting old... for example I wondered why I couldn't find the first of my two cards here today when the time for photographing them arrived. Eventually I realised that I had made one card on the back of the other!!!! DOH!
Like Siamese twins, they are now separated again, but what a palaver!
This first one follows the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches ...
and is using the theme from Kylie's challenge at Addicted to Stamps Blog
It's simply a bunch of die cuts from Memory box, MFT, Lil Inkers and I can't quite remember where the sentiment die is from... getting old again!
Many congrats to Kylie on the upcoming happy event in her family and as you may see I've gone with the girly option! I have the cutest granddaughters and can only say what a joy they are. Here is a pic of the little one recently!

This card uses the sketch from CASe this Sketch

Laughed out loud when I read that Chrissie! Beautiful baby card. This afternoon I was busy decorating the lid of a box with liquid pearls to house a wedding card. While clearing up noticed that not only had I smeared 2 corners but it was all over my t shirt! Had to make another lid!

Im sorry but I couldnt help but laugh at the confusion caused by making one card on the back of the other. That vague look Im sure I just saw it... It happens to us all. Luckily you could seperate and repair as they are two wonderful cards. As is your youngest granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteLOL Beautiful baby card. Sweet like a new baby :D xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you figured out where the card was! That story is a hoot! Your baby card is as sweet as can be and I just adore the colors you've used on the second! Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches and CAS(E) This Sketch!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I just adore your sweet little baby card - they are going to cherish this card for their little girl. Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!
ReplyDeleteWonderful takes on the sketches!
ReplyDeleteYour card is stunning, so perfect :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing along with us at ATCAS - DT Ellenor
Oh, Chrissie, thanks for the laugh out loud! I did that once myself and the worst part was the crazy time I wasted tearing my hair out trying to find the "other" card! When I discovered what had happened, I just sat back in my chair and laughed. We could be on a sitcom together! Anyway, both your cards are fabulous! All that time away and you didn't lose one ounce of your talent! And, Chloe, oh my goodness, what a spectacular photo that is!! However did they get her to sit and smile so perfectly? It doesn't even look real! You must be dazzled by her all over again and be amazed at how she has grown and changed! Enjoy!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSweet pair cards....and your photo is just as adorable as it gets!
ReplyDeleteomg lol. Is that what happens when you become a Nanna? God help me..... I bet you thought you had lost your marbles when you couldn't find the other card LOL. Both cards (whether together or apart) are beautiful. I love the pink elephant and your design with that one! Thanks for playing along with my Nanna competition! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie, love the layout and dies you used in both cards, each unique and fantastic and the baby card is so sweet, great idea with the pink ear for the elephant. Can you just tell me from whom the stitched fishtail banner die is you used below the sweet elephant, love it.
ReplyDeleteBest thanks and hugs
Claudia
I'm not sure if this is the one I used, but you can get one here. https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Taylored-Expressions-POCKETS-AND-PAGES-STITCHED-ESSENTIALS-Die-Set-TE562-TE562TE?currency=USD
DeleteYou can also use a stitched tag/banner even if it only has the fish tail at one end and merely cut it part way, turn around the card and replace the die over the other end of the partly cut tag and finish the cut.
Such a darling baby card and I love your take on the code word, Chrissie! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at Addicted to CAS!
ReplyDeleteI also meant to add...your granddaughter is absolutely adorable!!!
