WOYWW 128

Last week a few people commented on how 'tidy' my craft room was, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. There is a considerable amount of organisation within my walls, but practically every available surface is bestrewn with detritus. I do have places for most things, but space is tight and things don't always get put in their allotted places! The left hand area of my desk is always many layers deep in bits and bobs.

This crate contains sets of clear stamps and the ones on the top were part of some deliveries which arrived yesterday. This box ix decidedly short on space too!

Have a great week everyone.

  1. I know that feeling - everyone thinks - looking good - when you're on the verge of organised chaos. 'Space and good storage' is the killer and I seem to just keep shifting things around and running out of proper homes... If I hadn't bought anything new this year I'd have been ok but that's not reality...The chair stamps look great, have I spied a new LIM theme???
Thanks for sharing today, Sarah at 2.

  3. Space? What's space? In the new year I may - just may - try and sort my living room out a bit so it is more organised... but only maybe I say!! Love your desk - and that's not messy in my eyes...

  6. All the piles of things is the sign of a busy crafter, which you obviously are. Looks as if (like me) you'll need to get more boxes for those stamps. I have some clear stamps in a big box which is now bulging! - Hazel WOYWW #43 x

  9. I'm sure that tiny little crate cannot be your entire stock of clear stamps!! Come on ..... show us the rest!

My husband had a little sign which read "a cluttered desk is a sign of genius"!!

  17. Only 4 pairs of scissors out Chrissie - a slow day then!! I hate clear stamps for storage and wish I could come up with a really good solution...

  18. Space seems to be such an issue for all crafters - I definitely could do with more space :) I've seen some clip stands that seem to work well for storing packs of clear stamps but then you have to have room for the stand on your worktop. The chair stamp set looks interesting. Elizabeth x #78

  20. Hi Chrissie,

We all have our own style of crafting and our own style when it comes to our crafting space. It's all good...

I myself love my space when it's clean and tidy...but when it is neat and tidy it stiffles my creativity because I don't want to get it messy...go figure...lol

Thanks for the peek and sharing. Hope you are having a great WOYWW,
    xoxo Marjo #109

  21. No wonder I think it looks good .... my desk looks so similar! I have a problem with tidying up and tend to push stuff to the side until I'm working in a 8" square!!!

  24. Hi there Chrissie, had to laugh at Marjo's comment as so agree and laugh at folk who say my space is tidy when it is not - just the table is! and only cos it is the dining room and have to clean it up regularly for everyone's sanity. Now one day when I finally get my table for the craft room, and get rid of the bed etc. etc it will be another matter - love clear stamps and am running out of space for mine now too. Shaz in oz.x

  25. I also have a place for everything in my craft room Chrissie………usually right where I’m trying to work!
I think we are all a bit guilty of not putting things away after we have used them especially at the moment with so much Christmas stuff on the go. I can’t see the point of putting it away only to get it all out again five minutes later because what I need is in the same box.

Spring is the time for cleaning in my opinion……but if you ask me again in the Spring I’ll probably say Autumn, Lol!

    Happy Crafting!

  27. Well, I guess to some your desk is neat...I happen to agree! The beauty of the snoop is to make everyone feel good. There will always be someone much neater and some ....not so much! In my case (much to the dismay of some) the messier days are the days I show what I've done on my desk rather than my desk itself. I know it's not right and I'm going to change that. Thanks for sharing you desk and have a great week! Sorry so late for the snoop!

  28. For being number 1 this week, I'm awfully late visiting. I'm so sorry I'm late, but, after a computer crash I had to stop by and get a bit of inspiration from your desk. I see you are like most of us. We have too much stuff and not enough space. I often move things around just to get them better organized. It helps when I finally find the right combination of space and organization.

  29. Hid light ballast are similar to household incandescent light bulbs and produce light by passing an electric current through a tungsten filament. While this allows them to produce large amounts of light, it has the unwelcome by-product of creating lots of heat. Halogen bulbs can easily become hot enough to cause burns and melt plastic
