Apples, Apples, Apples

I love messing around with ink.
This stamp has no texture and so is perfect for adding different shades of ink to give the appearance of dimension. Sadly, I make a proper mess of the wood of the stamp in the process, but that doesn't worry me particularly, as long as they are cleaned, I don't worry of they are slightly stained.
Here I used distress inks, applied directly from the pad, beginning with Shabby Shutters, then adding some Forest Moss around the edges, with a touch of Fired Brick, applied with a fairly stiff brush to add a little blush across a couple of the apples. A quick spritz of water and then it was stamped.
In reality the base card is a closer match to the inks than it appears here.
The stamps are from A Stamp in the Hand.

  6. Beautiful apples! Whenever I spritz water on a stamp before stamping, I make a mess. This is perfect! High five on the weight loss. The pounds go on so much quicker than coming off!
