Masculine card

Cards for men always seem to be in demand and I think that this image from Stampin' Up is a perfect subject for a masculine card.
I distressed the image with Ranger Weathered Wood ink, which matched really well with this piece of Core'dinations card. I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder before lightly sanding it.
I was really sad to hear that my local Paper Mill Shop will be closing in March! Where am I going to get my card from I wonder? I'm really sad about it... but not half as sad as the people who have worked there for many years!

  4. what a great card Chrissie...

My local Papermill shop also closed Chrissie - prob about a year ago now - my sister wrote to head office to complain. I asked them why they were closing as they were clearly doing a lot of business - apparently the lease was up on the shop and they weren't renewing the lease - they are trying to encourage people to shop with them via the internet. So I suspect it could be the same with your shop.

In my opinion - the shop doesn't have a great a choice as the shop - or at least in that you could feel and touch and compare the colours for yourself in the shop. I also believe that you can no longer purchase the linen card as part of their pick and mix boxes - you have to buy a full box of it. They do have regular sales and if you spend over £30 - postage was free but not been on for a while.
