Rustic Rooster

At my choir I was asked for more cards for men. It's always the same isn't it... we never have enough. I thought that this rooster was a great image for chaps. Here I have used my choir colours (I don't know if that was a sub-conscious choice), the ladies wear red and the chaps wear black and white plus a red cummerbund. I mounted the piece of vellum onto a white backing and attached the two with brads. I'm using my new deckle dies which I bought at the NEC and I love them!
Here is a second card using the same set of images! Finding a sentiment to match in with the script on this little background stamp was tricky. I settled for a computer generated one in the end and this is the closest I could find in my font file!

  4. What a fab idea with the black, red and white. Lovely card too and perfect for a man.

Love that font you have used on the scond card too - both cards so different but equally brilliant.

  5. Oooooh, love both of these - both the crisp starched choir look and the vintage :). Like the way you mounted the rooster on music!

  8. Divine inspiration must have brought me here today. I was needing a layout for the pages of an ancient hymnal that's falling apart. The need is months old and I'm tired of fingering the pages and never coming up with a layout. So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. There's sooooo much inspiration on this Blog!
