I thought that I would try to make one of these slider cards after I had seen a YouTube demo video. I watched the video this morning and after taking various cars in for servicing, getting my craft chair changed because some of the stitching had ripped, having lunch etc. etc. I came to make the card this afternoon and had a couple of problems remembering what exactly I had seen in the morning!
On the whole it's not too bad, EXCEPT I forgot to shorten the length of the card and because of the tab, it will no longer fit into a normal envelope. I think I will have to make one specially!

I learned the Split negative technique last week so I thought I would try it again before I forgot how to do that too!
I think I learn something new every day.
P.S. Kersin asked if it was hard to do... I watched the video here!

ReplyDeletewhat a clever card. It looks like a lot of work has gone into this. You're very good at the split negative technique - the last card you did was brill too. This is nice and cheerful with the dots and green colourway.
