This is a card, not my usual choice of shape, using the sketch from
Card Patterns #37. I love the clean simplicity of these sketches. For this card I used some freebie paper from a magazine, which I found just matched one shade of my Core'dinations stack. The semi-circular piece is the reverse side of the patterned piece which I embossed with Cuttlebug random dots. The flower I embossed by hand from a brass stencil and sanded once it had been cut out. The sentiment is a Cuttlebug die-cut!
There She Goes Blog has a challenge for Dry Embossing this week, so this is for that one too!
Lovely card, I really love the colours youve chosen.

Love the clean and simple take on the sketch this week and the monochromatic tones.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, beautiful colour. You have reminded me that I have lots of brass stencils languishing in a box somewhere, I must dig them out :o)

I love the clean lines on your cards! What is the name of the cuttlebug die you've taken the "thanks" from ?
ReplyDelete-Ranu
Thanks for the lovely comment. The die comes from an A2 Duo Combo set called With Gratitude.

Thanks Chrissie! I just went out and bought that set.
ReplyDeleteAnd what about the flowers you have used in the card inspired by your landing curtains ?
-Ranu
The flowers are from another Cuttlebug die. It's a 6"x2" die which came in a set of 2 I believe. If you look through a few sites I'm sure you'll find it!
