Inspirational Card Sketches #26 & Papertake - Pick your Colour Combi


This is a bit of an experiment really. I had a pad of Papermania papers, which I bought when I first started cardmaking, which has sat in the drawer ever since. With all the fabulous papers around at the moment, this particular stack seems a little passe. (Don't know how to put the accent on the e) So I set about altering it somewhat. For the main background piece, I over stamped with a crackle stamp and a tiny text one. For the squares I over stamped with the crackle and a mesh stamp. It doesn't look anything like it did when I started, but I'm not sure about the colours I used.
The paper started off as green with a little grey and white, and these are my chosen colours for the Colour Combi from Papertake. The choice was from pink, black, white, yellow, green, grey and lilac.
For the majority of the overstamping I used Stazon Stone Grey.
The stamps are all from a clear set from MME.
The sketch is from Inspirational Card Sketches this week. I like the sketch, I'm not too sure if I like the card!

    Hi Chrissie. Well I had to smile...I had a go at this challenge this week...and guess what, I made a thank you card too. Great minds, eh? Absolutely love your creation. Those papers look fab and not a bit passe - especially with all that overstamping - that's amazing.

    I don't know if it is passe or not, but I REALLY like this card! It is different and has a happy vintage feel to it...like being n Venice, kwim?
