When I go to Bath to look after Daisy on a Thursday, it seems that the challenges pile up. To quote, 'it's amazing what a difference a day makes.' However, we had a lovely day yesterday and I have returned home suitably exhausted! Just look what a cutie she is!
This card covers several challenges... 5, I think. The basic sketch is from Papertake Weekly Challenge. I must admit that I prefer simpler layouts and I think that this one is particularly pleasing. The colours are from Colour Create - Blue & White, for Cute Card Thursday it's Christmas in July, for Dutch dare it's using dies or punches and for 365 Cards it's Paper Piercing. The papers are from Pink Petticoat and the embossing is Cuttlebug. The oval shapes are Nesties.
The sentiment, which I couldn't resist adding is Penny Black.
Here we have yesterday's 365 Cards challenge of incorporating a quotation. I have had this stamp for quite some time and have used it a few times, but find it difficult to colour. In fact I'm quite pleased with this attempt. I used a mixture of watercolour and ink pencils with a little pearly wash. I overstamped the image with a spotty background stamp in gold and red. The sentiment reads 'The magic of music warms the heart and soothes the soul.'
Ain't that the truth!
Chrissie
What fantastic cards Chrissie. I love the quote card. The stamp is great as is your colouring of it.

Chrissie, you sure made up for lost time! Your cards are beautiful, I especially like the quote. And I agree Daisy is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteI love them both but the Christmas one is my favourite, but only by a tiny margin. I get confuesed just readihng about how many challenges you cover with one card so methinks I will just do them one for one :o)
